Leeds Fans Remembrance - 6 month update
What an encouraging 6th months since Leeds Fans Remembrance was formed. The effort and generous contributions by friends+ family of Chris and Kev and the extended Leeds United family has been truly amazing. From children donating their pocket money to businessmen donating large sums of money it has been a real team effort.
Even with the difficult economical climate,companies have helped us with by providing banners, printing , T- shirts, hire of equipment, food, making of our flag+ Bibs, The success of each individual event was down to a collective team effort from sponsors, participants, marshals and everybody who turned up and helped. We would also like to thank everybody personally who individually or collectively have organised fundraising events with out the help of LFR and have then sent us cheques to add towards our total that we will be giving to Candlelighters.
As we have all found out getting sponsors is easy, collecting the money in, is a different matter. We would appreciate if anyone who has any uncollected sponsors to zealously chase outstanding money.
If all the outstanding sponsor money is collected for the Three Peaks and the Bike Ride then we hopefully should have raised £50,000 so far, which is absolutely fantastic.
Once again, many thanks to every one who has helped towards the fundraising. We know there are lots of you who do not want any thanks for your time and effort but it has not gone unnoticed. So lets hope your efforts between now and April can be mirrored by our beloved football team.
